Romane C. Golan

Swiss actress and writer-director based in Geneva (Switzerland) and in Paris (France).

About

Born in 1998 in Geneva, Switzerland, I quickly showed an interest in the arts. I started dancing at the age of 4 and became an actress for a junior theatre company when I was 11. I studied film analysis throughout my education and grew passionate about filmmaking.

I finished my BA in arts (Philosophy and English Literature and Linguistics) at the University of Geneva and applied for the MA Filmmaking programme at London Film School. There, I deepened my theoretical and practical knowledge about filmmaking before pursuing my career both as an actress and as a writer-director.

Whether I am behind or in front of the camera, my main interest lies in exploring people and their relationships. I am also passionate about the conflictual relation between appearances, personality and identity.

Trailer – “Penicillin”

“Penicillin” is my graduation film and a proof of concept for a series, Cocktails.

As Élise tells her friends about the fiasco of her previous whirl while drinking cocktails, she receives a text to meet the same man again, awakening Ayden’s jealousy.
